Bonnet

So, I found this gorgeous bonnet pattern from an antique crocheting book. And I thought it would look nice on Hayley and protect her cute head from the harsh summer sun. And I thought I could easily substitute yarns and needles and stitches (to make it smaller, as it was a 'kid size', as opposed to a baby size). And I thought I could understand the instructions. And somewhere, something went very wrong. :(
Aaaanyway, maybe one of her dolls can wear it? Does she have freakish alien dolls with elongated heads? Hmmpff, thought so... I'm sorry, Hayley :(
